SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade Microsoft Windows 3.x or Microsoft Windows for
Workgroups 3.x to Windows 98, the following bitmap fonts (.fon) may by
listed twice in the Fonts tool in Control Panel:
CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Fontreg.exe file that is run during Windows 98 Setup incorrectly migrates Windows 3.x and Windows for Workgroups 3.x .fon files. RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem, delete duplicate bitmap fonts in the Fonts tool. To do so, right-click the font you want to delete, and then click Delete. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98. MORE INFORMATIONBitmap fonts that are listed twice in the Fonts tool are listed only once in programs.
