VRML Console
!Compilation Error:Unrecognized header string
!Compilation Error:Unrecognized header string

CAUSE

This issue can occur when the Microsoft VRML 2.0 Viewer is installed on your computer. The VRML 2.0 Viewer creates a file association for .tar and .gz files. When the VRML 2.0 Viewer attempts to open a compressed Unix file, the console error message occurs.
