When you double-click or right-click the My Documents shortcut on the
desktop, you may receive the following error message:
If you then click Details, you may see either of the following informational messages:
CAUSE
This problem can occur if the value of the Personal value in the following
registry key does not have the path to the My Documents folder or is
blank:
RESOLUTION
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry
Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
