SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to open an editable fax using Imaging for Windows, you may receive one of the following error messages:

Wang Image Control Cannot Be Found.

-or-

A problem occurred with (or connecting to) a linked or embedded object or its source application.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using Imaging for Microsoft Windows 95.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, remove Imaging for Windows 95, and then install the version of Imaging included with Windows 98. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.



2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, and then click the Windows Setup tab.



3. Click Accessories, and then click Details.



4. Click the Imaging check box to clear it, click OK, and then click Apply.



5. Click Accessories, and then click Details.



6. Click the Imaging check box to select it, click OK, and then click OK again. When you are prompted to do so, insert your Windows 98 CD-ROM or floppy disks into your CD-ROM or floppy disk drive.
