To work around this problem, press ALT+TAB to resume your computer from
Standby mode. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98. MORE INFORMATIONThis problem occurs only when Standby mode is invoked using the keyboard or a power management timer. If you use your mouse to invoke Standby mode, you are able to resume properly.
