SYMPTOMSWhen you start your Windows 98-based computer, the Microsoft Windows 95 logo screen may be displayed during the startup process. CAUSEThis behavior can occur the Microsoft Windows 95 version of the Logo.sys file is located in the root folder of drive C. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, rename the Logo.sys file located in the root folder. Note that the Logo.sys file has the following file attributes: hidden, read only, and system. Before you can rename the Logo.sys file, type the following line at a command prompt, and then press ENTER: attrib c:\logo.sys -s -h -rFor information about how to rename a file, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type renaming, and then double-click the "Renaming files" topic. MORE INFORMATIONWindows 98 no longer requires a Logo.sys file to display the default logo screen when you start your Windows 98-based computer.
