SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to open a saved Kodak DC25 (.k25) file using the Scan New command in Imaging for Windows, you may receive the following error message:

The target file must be a DC20 or DC25 native file.

CAUSE

This error message can occur if your Kodak DC25 camera is either not connected to your computer or is not on when you start Imaging for Windows.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this behavior from occurring, connect your Kodak DC25 camera to your computer or turn it on before you start Imaging for Windows.
