SYMPTOMS

When you try to use your CD-ROM, you may be unable to do so.


CAUSE

This issue can occur if your IDE controller cables are not properly connected, for example, if your primary controller cable is incorrectly connected to your secondary controller.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, verify that your IDE controller cables are correctly connected. For information about how to do so, view the documentation included with your motherboard or computer.
