Task Scheduler Is Paused While Downloading Components

SYMPTOMS

When you download a component from the Microsoft Windows Update site, Task Scheduler is paused and no scheduled tasks are run until the component is installed.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Active Setup installs components from the Windows Update site automatically. To prevent a scheduled program from interfering with Active Setup, Task Scheduler is paused until the component is installed.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
