SYMPTOMSWhen you try to install Windows 98 and your computer has only Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) hard disks, the installation process may stop responding after the first restart. CAUSEThis issue can occur when your computer's Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) internal cache is set to write back. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, configure your computer's BIOS internal cache to write through.
