SYMPTOMS
If your computer is configured to be a Direct Cable Connection host, you
may receive the following message when you start Direct Cable Connection:
The message continues to be displayed, and the guest computer may not be able to connect to your computer's resources. If you have configured you computer to be the guest computer, you may not see the Direct Cable Connection dialog box at all. CAUSEThis behavior can occur if there are extra characters in the Target box on the Shortcut tab of the Direct Cable Connection shortcut. RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove the extra characters from the Target box for
the Direct Cable Connection shortcut:
