To copy your existing favorites to a different computer, first copy your favorites to a floppy disk, and then copy them to the other computer. To do so, follow the steps in both of the following sections:


Copy Your Favorites to a Floppy Disk

To copy your favorites to a floppy disk, follow these steps:

  1. Insert a blank, formatted floppy disk into drive A.


  2. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.


  3. In the left pane, double-click the drive on which the Windows folder is located, and then double-click the Windows folder.

    NOTE: Click Show Files if you receive the following message:
    Warning

    Modifying the contents of this folder may cause your programs to stop working correctly.

    To view the contents of this folder, click Show Files.


  4. In the left pane, double-click the Favorites folder.


  5. Hold down the CTRL key, and then click each of the favorites in the right pane you want to copy.


  6. On the Edit menu, click Copy, click drive A in the left pane, and then click Paste on the Edit menu.


  7. Close Windows Explorer.



Copy Your Favorites from the Floppy Disk to the Different Computer

To copy your favorites from the floppy disk to the different computer, follow these steps:

  1. Insert the floppy disk into drive A of the new computer.


  2. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.


  3. In the left pane, click drive A.


  4. Hold down the CTRL key, and then click each of the favorites in the right pane you want to copy.


  5. On the Edit menu, click Copy.


  6. In the left pane, double-click the drive on which the Windows folder is located, and then double-click the Windows folder.

    NOTE: Click Show Files if you receive the following message:
    Warning

    Modifying the contents of this folder may cause your programs to stop working correctly.

    To view the contents of this folder, click Show Files.


  7. In the left pane, double-click the Favorites folder, and then click Paste on the Edit menu.
