Error Message: File Sgvgore.vbx Is Not Found

SYMPTOMS

When you start Windows, you may receive the following error message:

File Sgvgore.vbx is not found


CAUSE

This message may be caused by an entry on the "Load=" line in the Win.ini file. The "Load=" line may contain one of the following files:

  • Pkg2082.exe
  • Pkg251.exe
  • Pkg5124.exe
  • Pkg5344.exe
  • Pkga032.exe

The "Load=" line may contain other file names, and may also cause Windows to use MS-DOS Compatibility mode.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue:

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.


  2. In the Open box, type sysedit, and then click OK.


  3. On the Window menu, click Win.ini.


  4. Locate the "Load=" line in the Win.ini file. Note the name of the entry.


  5. Modify the "Load=" line so that it does not contain any of the file names listed above.


  6. On the File menu, click Exit, and then click Yes.


  7. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders.


  8. In the Named box, type the name of the file you found in step 4.


  9. In the Look In box, click the drive containing the Windows folder (usually drive C).


  10. Click Find Now.


  11. Right-click the found file, and then click Delete.


  12. Restart your computer.
