SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to create a network share on a remote computer running Windows 95 or Windows 98 from your local computer running Windows 95 or Windows 98, you may receive the following error message: If you click Yes, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSEThis problem occurs if you are administering a computer that has remote administration enabled and you attempt to create a network share on the remote computer with the same name as a local share that already exists. RESOLUTIONDespite the error messages you receive when you are creating the share on the remote computer, the local share is not deleted and the remote share is created correctly. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. Additional query words:
