SYMPTOMSWhen you run a batch Setup of Windows 98, you may receive the following error message or one similar to it where <file name> is the name of an Information (.inf) file. CAUSEThis issue can occur if you use a batch Setup file created with the Microsoft Inf Installer tool to add additional .inf files during Windows 98 Setup over a network to a computer with a Plug and Play infrared port. When you do so, Setup may be unable to determine the path to files needed by an .inf file. RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem when you receive this error message, browse to the appropriate network server and share name that contains the Windows 98 Setup files, and then click OK. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98. Additional query words: irda
