Unable to Change Display Resolution or Monitor Blinks

SYMPTOMS

When you try to change the Screen Area on the Settings tab in Display Properties, your screen may blink, but your resolution may not change.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if your video adapter uses a Rendition-based chip set.

RESOLUTION
