SYMPTOMSWhen you are using a portable computer on AC power, the Power icon on the taskbar may not be updated correctly when you disconnect the AC power. Clicking the icon refreshes the icon correctly. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Windows 98 Second Edition. MORE INFORMATIONOn some notebook computers tested with Windows 98, the power status indicator on the taskbar does not rapidly indicate power status changes. If the status is changed twice (for example, plugging in and then unplugging the computer) before the first status change is indicated, the status indicator displays only one status change. Therefore, it displays an incorrect status. Additional query words: ACPI battery system tray systray
