Icon Names Are Truncated and Icons Are Stacked

SYMPTOMS

After your run the Accessibility Wizard and then configure your computer to display small icons, some names of icons on your desktop and in Control Panel may be truncated to the point where they are hard to identify or totally illegible. Also, icons on your desktop and in Control Panel may be stacked on top of each other, making it difficult or impossible to view these icons.


RESOLUTION

To work around this issue:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.


  2. Click the Appearance tab, click Icon Spacing (Vertical) in the Item box, and then set the size of this item to 43.


  3. In the Item box, click Icon Spacing (Horizontal), and then set the size of this item to 43.


  4. Click OK, and then restart your computer.
