Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 340 Monochrome Printer Does Not Print White Text

SYMPTOMS

When you select a printer font to print white text on a dark background, the Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 340 (Monochrome) printer may not print the text or may print black text.


CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are using the HP DeskJet 340 (Monochrome) driver included with Windows.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:

  • Use a TrueType font to display the white text.


  • Install the HP DeskJet 340 (Monochrome) printer driver for Windows 95 that is included with the printer.


  • Contact HP to obtain the latest printer driver for your printer.
