SYMPTOMSAfter you upgrade your Microsoft Windows 95-based computer to Windows 98, your custom keyboard layout may be missing. CAUSEThis behavior can occur when user profiles are enabled in Windows 95. When a custom keyboard layout option is selected in a user profile other than the default profile in Windows 95, the keyboard setting changes to that of the default user profile during an upgrade to Windows 98. This is because Setup only parses the setting for the default user during the upgrade to Windows 98. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, log on to the computer using a user profile other than the default, and then modify the keyboard layout in Windows 98:
