"Make New Connection" Dialog Box Is Displayed Twice

SYMPTOMS

When you are setting up a new Dial-Up Networking connection, the Make New Connection dialog box may be displayed twice.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you do not have a modem attached to your computer.

RESOLUTION

You cannot cancel the second instance of the Make New Connection dialog box. To close the dialog box, type the location and other information again.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
