SYMPTOMSAfter you log on to your network and then attempt to establish a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection that requires you to log on to a domain, you may not receive validation on the VPN connection. Also, any scripts designed to run at logon may not run, and when you attempt to gain access to resources on the domain, you may receive the following error message: Also, you may not receive notification or an error message stating that you have not been validated by the domain server. CAUSEIf the connection to the Internet requires a domain logon, the VPN connection cannot log on to a second domain. RESOLUTIONTo work around this issue, use either of the following methods: Method 1Configure your computer not to log on to the domain when you start Windows:
Method 2Do not log on to your domain when you start Windows. Start your VPN connection, which prompts you to log on to your Windows NT network, and then log in normally to be validated. To log on to another domain, you must restart your computer.Additional query words:
