HyperTerminal 4.0 Personal Edition Does Not Work After Upgrading to Windows 98 Second Edition

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition, HyperTerminal 4.0 Personal Edition does not function.


CAUSE

The files for HyperTerminal 4.0 Personal Edition are replaced by the standard-version HyperTerminal files that are included with Windows 98 Second Edition.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, rename the following files and then reinstall HyperTerminal 4.0 Personal Edition:

Hypertrm.dll   3.0       9-17-98
