SYMPTOMSWhen you place your Windows 98-based computer in Standby mode, your computer may appear to be in Standby mode, but your hard disk may continue to spin and be active. CAUSEThis problem can occur if you are using a Seagate hard disk, and you are running one or more memory-intensive programs. Note that this problem may occur more frequently if your computer has 16 megabytes (MB) of Random Access Memory (RAM) or less.
