Custom Power Management Schemes Changed after Upgrade

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 98 or Windows 98 Second Edition, your custom power management settings may change.


RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, modify the settings for your custom scheme, or re-create your custom power management scheme:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Power Management.


  2. Configure your custom settings, click Save As, type the name for your new custom setting, and then click OK.

This behavior is by design.
