SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition, your modem may no longer function correctly.


CAUSE

This issue can occur if you have a 3Com/U.S. Robotics 56K Voice Faxmodem Pro External V.90, x2(model 005605-00) installed in your computer. Some versions of the 3Com Universal Serial Bus (USB) drivers may not be totally compliant with USB standards.


RESOLUTION
