Radius 1394 FireWire Driver Replaced After Upgrade

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade your Microsoft Windows 95-based or Microsoft Windows 98-based computer to Windows 98 Second Edition, the Radius 1394 Host Controller device driver may be replaced with the Texas Instruments LYNX-Compatible IEEE 1394 Host Controller driver.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use Device Manager to update the driver:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.


  2. Click the Device Manager tab, and then double-click Texas Instruments LYNX compatible IEEE 1394 host controller.


  3. Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.


  4. Click Next, click Display a list of all drivers in a specific location, and then click Next.


  5. Click Radius 1394 Host Controller, click Next, and then follow the instructions on the screen.


  6. Click Finish, and then restart your computer.
