SYMPTOMS
CardBus cards in computers with certain Texas Instruments (TI) CardBus controllers may not be enumerated, or may be disabled on power-up or when you resume the computer from Suspend mode.
CAUSEThese controllers require up to 32 milliseconds during the transition from the D3 power state to the D0 power state before the CardBus "Socket Present" register reports an accurate device status. The Windows 98 PCI virtual device (Pci.vxd) expects PCI devices (and, by extension, the CardBus devices attached) to be ready and correctly reporting their status within 10 milliseconds of transitioning from D3 to D0.
