SYMPTOMSWhen you set the GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize registry parameter for TCP/IP, it does not affect the global maximum TCP receive window size (GlobalMaxRcvWin) in Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the name of the GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize registry parameter is misspelled as "GlobalMaxTcpWindoSize" in the Windows 98 TCP/IP code. WORKAROUNDWARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor
can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
