Win386.swp File Is Moved When You Set a Custom Virtual Memory Size

SYMPTOMS

After you set a custom virtual memory size, you may notice that the Win386.swp file is moved from the C:\<windir> folder to the root of drive C (or to the root of the drive that you set to host your Windows paging file).


STATUS

This behavior is by design and to inform anyone examining the computer that a custom virtual memory setting has been selected.
