SYMPTOMS

After you install Windows 98 Second Edition, you may receive the following error message:

Your display is incorrect, the driver is incorrect or damaged.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using a Diamond Stealth G460 video adapter and a critical DirectX update has not been installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install the PV4.0 patch from the Intel Web site:

http://developer.intel.com/design/graphics/drivers

Note: You must restart your computer after installing the patch.
