Sounds May Not Play Properly in Games

SYMPTOMS

When you play games that use DirectX or DirectSound, the sound may not play properly or you may hear noise in the sound.


CAUSE

This issue can occur if you use a sound card that uses the OPTi chipset.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact the manufacturer of your sound card to obtain the latest sound card driver. For information about sound cards that use the OPTi chipset, click the following link to view the OPTi Web site:
