SYMPTOMS

When you start your Windows 98-based computer, you may receive the following error message:

Hardware error. DriHwp32.dll not found or damaged


CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the following conditions exist:

  • You have a Turbo-Media keyboard.


  • The Kbturbo.exe program is being loaded from the Startup folder, and this program is damaged.



RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall the Kbturbo.exe program.
