SYMPTOMSWhen playing Solitaire (SOL.EXE) in Windows for the first time after installation, random card backs are displayed. If you select Deck from the Games menu, then select a card back for the first time, it will disable the ability to have random card backs as before. CAUSE
To enable Windows 3.1 Solitaire to choose random backs:
To enable Windows 3.0 Solitaire to choose random backs, delete the entire [solitaire] section from the WIN.INI file. In Windows 3.1, Solitaire doesn't write entries to the WIN.INI file.
