STOP Message on MIPS Computer Caused by NET Command

SYMPTOMS

A MIPS-based computer running Windows NT may halt with a STOP message if you connect to it from another Windows NT computer (non-MIPS) and use the NET command. The STOP message is 0x0000001E.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Workstation and Windows NT Server version 3.5. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT version 3.5.
