SYMPTOMSIf you configure the 3Com TokenLink III network adapter (3C619B) with the default settings (3Com mode) using the DOS Configuration utility (3TOKDIAG.EXE) and start Windows NT, the following system events appear in the Event Viewer:
These symptoms occur sporadically. CAUSE
The driver tries to load into an illegal memory address of 0x0 if the
adapter is set for an I/O Port address of A20 or above.
The Windows NT Diagostics (WINMSD) utility reports the following in the Adapters option:

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.51. We
are researching this problem and will post new information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
