SYMPTOMS
After you apply Service Pack 2 for Windows NT 3.5 to your Compaq Proliant
1500 computer, it does not boot or you lose access to your SCSI devices.
-or- If you reconnect your boot disk to a secondary SCSI controller, you lose access to SCSI devices connected to the integrated controller. CAUSE
The Proliant 1500 contains an Integrated SCSI-Fast/Wide controller. Windows
NT detects the controller as an NCRC810. Service Pack 2 includes a new
NCRC810.SYS driver. This driver does not load on the Proliant 1500.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.5.
This problem has been corrected in Windows NT version 3.51.
