Upon startup, Windows NT 3.51 displays the following black screen:

WORKAROUND

Use the following KB article to create a Windows NT Boot disk.

KB ID: Q119467 Creating a Boot Disk for an NTFS or FAT Partition.

Replace the Windows NT 3.51 ntldr with one from Windows NT V3.51 service pack-5 or the ntldr that ships with Windows NT 4.0.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.51. This problem was corrected in the latest Windows NT 3.51 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
