When you use the Novell NetWare Windows utility, Nwuser.exe, to send
messages to and from Novell clients, the message is truncated to
approximately 38 characters (NWUSER permits up to 255 characters.) This
behavior is different than the Novell DOS client's Send.exe utility, which
permits only up to 55 characters. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, please see the following article in the

After you apply the fix, perform the following steps: WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0 with
Service Pack 3 and File and Print Services for NetWare version 4.0.
This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4. Additional query words: fpnw sp3
