Password changes using Apple Talk or Vines Protocol do not work as expected
even though the AppleTalkClientSupport and/or VinesClientSupport registry
values have been entered as a REG_DWORD set to 0x1 on the following key:
CAUSE
A logic error in the Lsass.exe process prevents either of these two
registry values from functioning properly unless TcpipClientSupport and/or
NetwareClientSupport is added as a registry value as well.
RESOLUTIONIn addition to AppleTalkClientSupport and/or VinesClientSupport, also add NetwareClientSupport (if NWLINK is installed) and/or TcpipClientSupport (if TCPIP is installed) as directed in the MORE INFORMATION section below. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT version 4.0.
