SYMPTOMS
On a multiprocessor computer using halmps.dll, when you shut down and
restart the computer, a STOP 0x0000000A error message may be displayed,
preventing the system to start.
CAUSE
Under certain circumstances, the ENTER_INTERRUPT macro in
HalpApicRebootService causes the FS register to have the wrong value.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, please see the following article in the
