NETDOM 1.2 Fails to Join a Domain

SYMPTOMS

The Windows NT 4.0 Resource Kit Supplement II includes a command-line utility, NETDOM, which allows the administrator to join a domain from a command line.

Joining a domain with NETDOM 1.2 works fine but results in the following error message when you try to log on to the computer:

The system cannot log you on because the system's primary domain
password is missing.


RESOLUTION

This problem has been fixed in NETDOM 1.3 and above. Contact your local support center if you encounter the problem described herein.
