SYMPTOMSWhen you click the Devices tab in the Multimedia tool in Control Panel, Multimedia Properties may close, and you may be unable to add, remove, or view the properties of any multimedia device drivers. CAUSEThis issue can occur if Netscape Communicator Professional Edition is installed on your computer, and the Nsmlaw32.dll file is incorrectly registered in your registry. RESOLUTION
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry
Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

These registry values are created only when Netscape Communicator
Professional Edition is installed in Microsoft Windows NT version 3.5 or
3.51. When you upgrade Windows NT 3.5 or 3.51 to Windows NT 4.0, these
registry values are retained.
