Windows NT RAS Server Problems with Novell NDS Installed

• Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0

SYMPTOMS

If Require Data Encryption is selected in the Remote Access Service configuration, the following message is displayed:

The remote server does not support encryption.

CAUSE

User connections fail with data encryption required.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, make sure Require Data Encryption is not specified in the Remote Access Server configuration.
