MSCS: Problems with Spooler Resource

- Microsoft Cluster Server

SYMPTOMS

On a computer running Microosft Cluster Server, when a job begins printing, a failure on the IP address makes the spooler resource fail over and the print job does not restart until the spooler resource is taken offline and brought back online on the same node.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the individual software update. For information on obtaining the latest service pack, please go to:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Server, Enterprise Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
