System Command Line Shows the Wrong Date

SYMPTOMS

When you run the DATE command at a command prompt to change the system date between two dates that occur before and after Daylight Savings Time, the new system date may be incorrect.


RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5.
