SYMPTOMS

When you run Services for Macintosh on a Windows NT Server-based computer, you may receive a STOP 1E error message in Sfmsrv.sys. The error message may contain the following parameters: 0xc0000005, 0xf1b28880, 0x0, 0x0.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the individual software update. For information on obtaining the latest service pack, please go to:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6.
