SYMPTOMSPost-SP5 hotfixes for the Tcpip.sys driver dated April 28, 1999 to May 28, 1999 contain a regression that could cause your multiprocessor computer to stop responding (hang). CAUSEThis problem occurs because of changes made in earlier hotfixes included an error in locking code. This error can cause your multiprocessor computer to "deadlock" or hang. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or
