SYMPTOMSWhen the program you are using loads or unloads the Iphlpapi.dll file on your computer running Windows NT 4.0 (for example, by a Winsock 2.0 layered service provider), a system resource leak may occur, especially a memory or a handle leak. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because part of the source code for the Iphlpapi.dll file causes a leak in the file handle created in OpenIpDriver() and in three critical sections allocated in the DLL Entry function. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or
