SYMPTOMSWhen you use programs on your computer running Windows NT with MO drives attached, your computer stops responding (hangs) when transferring a large amount of data to or from the MO drives. CAUSEThis problem occurs because when an error (bad sector) occurs, the object the file system driver was working on is not released for other uses. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows NT 4.0 service pack
